Turn Resignation into Productive Action
Feb 19, 2023
I’ll go out on a limb and guess you’re resigned about a large societal problem right now… Yes?
I’m not reading your mind to know that. I’ve just been there, seen it and felt it more times than I’d like to admit, so I know exactly where you’re at right now.
You’re probably avoiding thinking about the pain the problem causes people, the cost it brings to society, the benefits it deprives us of.
And you’ve tried writing letters, complaining to friends and contributing to causes, but the problem continues with no real plan or timetable to end it.
I’m dropping in here to let you know that all is not lost. I felt resigned for a long time before discovering that I could give up my resignation and find a productive way forward!
Specifically, the things that helped me were:
⚡️ Seeing that my resignation made me part of the problem
⚡️ Looking newly at the problem, rather than settling for the shallow answers society provides that don’t seem to be helping
⚡️ Asking new questions and having new conversations with people
Building on top of that, I began doing a rigorous problem solving exercise, talking with people about it as I went.
That’s why I’m so passionate about bringing you our PeopleCount community.
I know first hand what it can do to have support from receptive, creative, passionate people while working on solving large societal problems.
And I want to make sure you know what’s possible and that it’s available to you too. 🙏
Come find out what I've been problem-solving lately . . .
